We are delighted to announce that Lt. Governor, Kim Guadagno will kick-off our 2012 Business Road Show!

The Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) has recognized that many agencies have offerings that can greatly benefit the business community, but that the information may not be reaching the business owners. Owners and professionals have little time to research resources and to discover the requirements and procedures for taking advantage of this assistance. The Chamber has assembled resources from local, county, state and federal agencies, aggregated them in one succinct program and is presenting them to the business community in a free "2012 Business Road Show." The first presentation will be held at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters on February 28th from 5 to 7:30 PM.

Presentations will include information on how to obtain: grant dollars for hiring unemployed workers, free business coaching and skills training, free mailing list, GPS mapping services and website evaluations, matching dollars for energy improvements and more.

In addition to the Lt. Governor, presenters include, Freeholder Deputy Director Thomas Arnone, representatives from the County Departments of Economic and Workforce Development, SBA, Mayors of Marlboro and Manalapan and the NJ Board of Public Utilities.

The Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce invites all businesses to join us for this event and to be a part of the Ripple Effect...working together to make Monmouth County Greater!

Admittance isFREE, but registration is required.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

2/08/12 Annual Caring with Karaoke Charity Event presented by the Young Professionals Group @ Park 33 (formerly Park Avenue Bistro, 618 Park Avenue, Freehold. $20.00 admission. This year the event will benefit "The Brennan Stands Alone Foundation."

On May 7, 2008, US Army 1st Lt. Brian Brennan of Howell, NJ, an Operation Enduring Freedom combat veteran, was seriously injured in Afghanistan when an IED exploded under the humvee in which he was traveling. The attack took the lives of two soldiers and a civilian. Lt. Brennan and Specialist Ryan Price of California were the only two survivors. Lt. Brennan suffered cardiac arrest, multiple fractures and traumatic brain injury. He returned home a double amputee. The outpouring of love and support he received from family, friends and the community was overwhelming and gave him the resolve to recover from his injuries. Lt. Brennan’s passion to give back and help others facing the same struggles he endured has led to the establishment of the “Brennan Stands Alone Foundation”. The Foundation was created to ease the burden of routine stress for those injured in the line of duty in order that they may focus on treatment and rehabilitation.
